Through this project, different influences on the popularity of baby names in the US were explored. Beginning our exploration in 1910, we highlight significant events and popular figures throughout the decades, drawing a connection between their names and those that are most popular. Because names are such a unique aspect of your identity, informing how others perceive you, along with your own self perception, we found it important to examine the factors that influence trends in naming.

How do baby names reflect the changing demographics of the US through the presence, or lack thereof, of names with ethnically diverse origins?
